As with any rebrand, with a new logo, refreshed color scheme, also came the need to redesign the website.
The old website had a late 2000s feel. Gradients, grays, stock photography with LENS FLARE, and cartoonish graphics accented with a vibrant orange. It accomplished what it needed to do as far as being a website for a small business, but as the company was trying to position itself as a disruptor in the DoD community, it needed to be brought into the 2020s.
The new color palette brought in a refined modern look and feel to the brand. To make the photo and video assets consistent, we converted them to greyscale.
We also incorporated more animation into the svg assets. The goal was to add movement wherever possible. Animated hero, video interviews about culture as the company wanted to really place a focus on the people.
The company was maturing, and as the its capabilities started to expand, I took a lot of cues from Silicon Valley tech websites to bring that modernity to this East Coast, DoD company.
